Bleeding Heart - Specatabilis
Dicentra should be planted in full sun but will tolerate morning shade. It is the most common variety in its species. Do not let it dry out. Dicentra will bloom from May to September and is a major attractor to butterflies. The blooms look wonderful against its grayish foliage. It is heat tolerant and needs moist soil. The Bleeding Heart Specatabilis, 'Dicentra ‘specatabilis’, is a fast-growing perennial with pink, heart-shaped flowers.
