Hosta - Blue Umbrellas

Plant in any moist and well-drained spot. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. The Hosta Blue Umbrellas, Hosta 'Blue Umbrellas', is one of the largest of the blue shaded hosta's. Blue Umbrellas has excellent slug resistance. The pale lavender flowers of this fast growing hosta appear in June, however, hosta’s are not known for their flowers. It has huge blue-green leaves that are cupped downward like an unbrella. A great choice for any beginner gardener. Blue Umbrellas performs best if planted in full shade but will tolerate some direct sun. Scabiosa - Blanca It is best to plant Scabiosa in full sun, with well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the warmer months to increase its overall performance. Noted for very free flowering, butterfly-friendly, and a good cut flower. 'Blancat' is a reminiscent of a pincushion full of pins. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 8” and a spread of 12-18", not to mention being disease resistant. The Scabiosa 'Blanca, Scabiosa Hybrid, is a small flowered form of the Pincushion Flower and it exhibits a a compact habit.
